What Buy BABA is

Buy BABA LLC operates a commercial sourcing platform that aggregates product information and compliance documentation from domestic manufacturers. We are a private company. We are not a federal agency, a compliance certification body, or a licensed compliance consultant.

What our compliance documentation represents

The compliance documentation available on Buy BABA — including manufacturer letters, country of origin statements, and product spec sheets — is provided to us by manufacturers. We collect, organize, and present this documentation as a convenience to contractors. We do not independently verify, audit, or certify the accuracy of manufacturer-supplied documentation.

Our compliance level ratings (Levels 1–5) reflect the type and quantity of documentation we have on file at the time of the rating. They are not a determination of whether a product will be accepted on any specific project.

Your responsibility as a contractor

Federal Buy America requirements vary depending on:

• The funding source (IIJA, ARP, FEMA, HUD, etc.)
• The specific legislation governing that funding source
• The applicable federal agency and their implementing guidance
• The owner's and specifier's requirements for your specific project

You are responsible for:

• Determining which Buy America provisions apply to your project
• Confirming that the documentation we provide satisfies your project's requirements
• Verifying the currency and accuracy of any documentation before submitting
• Consulting with your legal counsel, PE of record, or compliance specialist when needed

Documentation currency

Manufacturer compliance letters have issue dates and may expire. We note the last verified date on product pages, but we cannot guarantee that documentation remains current after that date. Always confirm documentation currency before using it in a project submittal.

No warranties

Buy BABA provides documentation on an "as-is" basis. We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the accuracy, completeness, or fitness for purpose of any documentation available through our platform. We are not liable for any damages arising from reliance on documentation provided through Buy BABA.
